Our 0-4mm grit sand is a coarse sand made of small and larger particles up to 4mm. The 0-4mm grit sand is analysed for particle distribution size on a monthly basis, passing both SHW: Series 500 (drainage) and BS EN 12620 (concrete) grading requirements.

Ideal for a range of projects
Where appropriate our grit sand could be used for screeding, laying slabs or block paving. The product complies with BS EN 13232- unbound and hydraulically bound materials for civil engineering works and road construction.

Yes! Towens provide sands graded 0-4mm Grit Sand, 0-2mm Fine Sand and 2-4mm Fill Sand.
Can you deliver the materials?
Yes! Towens primarily delivers aggregate in 8-wheel tipper lorries. However, if you require a smaller load of less than 6 tonnes, we can deliver a skip lorry instead.
Are there quality checks in place to ensure the superiority of Towens' Grit Sand?
Absolutely! All batches of our grit sand undergo rigorous quality checks, ensuring that we deliver only the finest product to our valued customers.
